Since the launch of ESP® in 1995 several well-known automobile manufacturers and safety authorities have scientifically investigated the effectiveness of ESP®. All the studies carried out reach the same conclusion: ESP® saves lives.

True to the slogan "Invented for Life" Bosch is firmly committed to supporting initiatives which pursue the goal to increase safety on the roads and thus preserve human life. 2008, Bosch received the eSafety Deployment Award in the category of Industry & Technology "for its outstanding achievements with its targeted marketing and communication strategy to accelerate the deployment of the eSafety technology ESP® in the European market. Through the development and deployment of dedicated ESP® marketing tools, Bosch has increased awareness and knowledge about ESP® and thus contributed to make cars safer."

2007, Bosch had received the "FIA World Prize for Road Safety, the Environment and Mobility", the highest award of the worldwide automobile association FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile).
